The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed about the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services place created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance sassa status check products and services,” the agency said.
